Event Goals

• Find enough bakers to collectively bake all 100 cookie recipes in the NY Times Cookie cookbook

• Build community with fellow bakers across Columbus

• Eat an absurd number of cookies

• Raise money for the Gifts of Kindness Fund

Date: Sunday, Oct 4th, 2026
Location:  ECDI, 1655 Old Leonard Ave, Columbus, OH
Time: 2pm-4pm. Baker set up is from 2pm-2:30pm. Taster entry begins at 2:30pm.

The challenge

We’re seeking 100 bakers to each make one full recipe from the NY Times Cookie cookbook. If you’re interested, just fill out our baker interest form, and we'll send a link to a shared Google Doc listing all 100 recipes. We'll ask you to claim a recipe or, if you prefer a challenge, you can volunteer to be a wildcard baker (to be assigned an unclaimed recipe by the event hosts) or an emergency baker (on standby to bake last minute if another baker needs to drop out). 

On the day of the event, everyone who brings a batch of cookies from the book will get to try other bakers' cookies. Come hungry for cookies, leave having collectively made every recipe in the cookbook!

Tasting Tickets

To raise money for the Gifts of Kindness Fund and ensure that none of our delicious cookies go to waste, we're selling a limited number of tasting tickets. If you want to eat cookies without registering as a baker, you can buy a ticket here.
