The Columbus BAKING Classic is the place to be for Competition, Community, Charity, and above all, BAKED GOODS!

Think you know a great bake? Step up to the plate (literally!) and bake your best or help choose our People's Champion!

Join us at the 1st Annual Columbus Baking Classic—an independent amateur baking contest dedicated to finding the best bakers in the city. While the judges are hard at work, you’ll get to sample your selected category entry, vote for the People’s Choice Award, and watch as Columbus crowns its very first ribbon winners.

What’s Included:

  • Tasting bites of all competing bakes in your selected category (up to 20 entries!)

  • A ballot to vote for the People’s Choice Winner

  • A front-row seat to the Judge’s feedback & ribbon ceremony

  • A sweet afternoon filled with cookies, community, and fun

Limited Tickets

We’re capping each category for this event at just 20 bakers and 60 taster tickets, so don’t sleep on it—we’ll make a big announcement on social channels when baker applications and tasting tickets will open.

Community Impact

All net proceeds from the Baking Classic benefit CRIS (Community Refugee and Immigration Services), so every bite helps support our immigrant neighbors.

Come hungry for great bakes leave happy—and help us crown the top bakers in Columbus!

What you should know before you go!

  • Your ticket is just for you. Each guest is required to have a ticket for entry.

  • Info is coming soon, but be sure you plan to arrive with enough time to taste each entry! We recommend arriving at Doors or within 30 minutes of the start time for your category.

  • Not only are you helping to build a community embracing home baking excellence, but you helping support a local nonprofit! The event benefits CRIS Ohio, whose mission is to help refugees and immigrants reach safety and stability, sustain self-sufficiency, and achieve successful integration into the Central Ohio community.

Tickets will open approximately 6 weeks from the event date!
